Welcome to

Pagewood (Child) Safeguarding Induction & Refresher Sessions:

All readers, acolytes and ministers of communion need to have

current Working with Children Checks and had Child Safeguarding training not longer than 3 years ago.

Chris Maron, the Parish Safeguarding Officer of St Agnes Matraville Parish is kindly offering to hold face to face Safeguarding induction and refresher training sessions for our Pagewood volunteers in June 2022.

You have a choice of doing online or face to face training.

Please check your email to reply which method of training you are doing.

For those not computer savvy, it is expected that you will be attending a face to face session.

You will be notified soon when the sessions are.

Thank you all for your donations throughout the year through the new Tap Donation machines, the weekly collections (planned giving envelopes and loose collections), monthly planned giving by credit card, online donations and various appeals. Your support is much appreciated.

The cake to celebrate Fr Rafael’s Ordination. It was cut at the morning tea after his First Thanksgiving Mass at OLA Pagewood Parish on 5th Dec 2021

Fr Rafael was appointed Assistant Priest to Holy Family Maroubra Parish from 3rd Dec 2021. We are sad that he has left Pagewood Parish, but are grateful for the time he has spent with us. We thank Fr Rafael for his  ministry & pastoral work; and all he has contributed and done at OLA Pagewood Parish.

Fr Rafael Silva Galicia’s Presbyteral Ordination was on Fri 3rd Dec 2021 at 7pm in St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney.  If you missed it, you can still follow it online link below

Our volunteer John Heffernan with the help of Deacon Rafael and Fr Daney have completed the refurbishment our Church Toilet Block.  They have been making good use of  their skills and talents to update the toilet block during the lockdown.

Many, many thanks to John Heffernan on the work, time and effort put into the Toilet Block Refurbishment work. He has done a wonderful job! John is very valuable contributor and great support to our parish. He had also organised the repairs to the Church Building broken windows (which was difficult) and fixed the presbytery front entry glass panels.

We are very fortunate and grateful to have such talented, skilled, resourceful and dedicated priest, deacon and volunteers.

The Toilet Block is ready to be used.

If you could make a monetary contribution to the Alteration Work of our parish’s Church Toilet Block, it would be most appreciated.

To make a donation, please go to the top of the page and click on SUPPORT US’  to Make a Donation.  Thank you very much for your donations and support.

We give thanks to the Lord that Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish has been a place where we can meet  God;

in the Eucharist and grow together as a faith community.

The Pastors of this parish have been men of God, faithful stewards of the vineyard of the Lord with joyful and thankful hearts. May Our Blessed Mother protect all our Priests.

May Our Lady of the Annunciation keep us always in her loving care; and may she find in us a willingness to place ourselves wholeheartedly at the service of God and His Church, and a desire to find our peace in His unique plan for us.

St Vincent de Paul Pagewood Conference news:

In March 2021 Father Daney and Kate O’Regan (president of St Vincent de Paul Soc Pagewood Conference)  presented OLA Primary School Principle, Rose Andre, a cheque for $2000 to assist families at the school with school expenses such as school outings, uniforms etc.
The SVDP Eastern Regional Council have been offering schools in the area to participate in the programme for a few years now and hope it will be an ongoing concern.
